Spiritually Speaking

I have decided to start a Spiritually Speaking Sunday thought. I just wanted something to get me in the mood for Sunday and in the right spirit. I have teamed up with Sarah at .... And Spiritually Speaking and will bring you a thought each Sunday. Sarah posts thoughts daily. I love her site. If you ever need a bit of uplifiting check out her blog. It is lovely!

I would also love your thoughts on the Sunday thought. If it touches you in anyway or if you feel insipired by it please leave a comment. Maybe we can all help to lift each other in some way!

So to start of this new feature one of my favorite Spiritually Speaking Thoughts! ENJOY!

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp.

I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children.
I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden.

I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder.
I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

One of my favorite quotes ever. I use facebook that way and post daily thoughts instead of what I am doing. I love it, and hope it helps others every once in awhile. Great idea to keep the Sabbath uplifting and motivating.
